In memoriam KH. Abdurrachman Wahid

On December 30, 2009 the Indonesian people have been left by a Nation Guru of KH. Abddurachman Wahid as known as Gus Dur. Gus Dur’s death caused by diabetes and renal failure have been suffering in recent years. And because his condition didn’t fit because of his disease that causes acute complications resulting in his death.

Gus Dur is a national figure who is highly respected by his friends and political enemies. Had become the fourth president of the Republic of Indonesia, although not fully completed due to blocked many stumbling blocks faced at that time.

Gus Dur was a Nation Guru for the Indonesian republic with a paradigm that despite his own modest background in Islamic religious education but it did not cause him to be a hard lined in politics. In fact, Gus Dur made the diversity of life in Indonesia is a dynamic and increasingly conducive. He managed to reunite the joints of religious life and society be better for Indonesia.

Indonesia felt very lost the leader of a moderate figure, modern and embrace all such groups are carried by Gus Dur. Indonesia will be very difficult to find replacements that personal qualities and intellectual equivalent of Gus Dur.

Gus Dur is a national hero, a warrior unifying the nation and was a humble man with the ideals of the sublime to the victory of Indonesia.
